Dental Prosthetics

While your natural teeth are always the best option, modern dental prosthetics now come very close to the original in terms of aesthetics and functionality. Often, crowns, bridges, or dentures are indistinguishable from natural teeth. We would be happy to provide you with personal advice on the many prosthetic options available at our practice.

Particularly aesthetic: All-ceramic dental prosthetics

All-ceramic is a high-performance dental material used for crowns and bridges. It can be individually matched to your tooth shade and mimics natural tooth enamel, including its subtle translucency and light reflection, making it virtually indistinguishable from your "real" teeth. Unlike conventional porcelain-fused-to-metal, all-ceramic is completely metal-free, making the restoration 100 percent biocompatible. No allergies are known.

An overview of crowns, bridges, and dentures:

  • Partial crowns: As the name suggests, partial crowns replace only a portion of the natural tooth crown. They are used for minor tooth damage.
  • Crowns: Crowns are used when the entire chewing surface or the tooth cusps are severely damaged. The tooth is prepared, and the crown is placed over it like a cap.
  • Bridges: A bridge can be used to replace a single missing tooth or several missing teeth in a row. The adjacent teeth are prepared and serve as "anchor teeth" to support the bridge structure. An alternative that does not require damaging neighboring teeth is dental implants.
  • Partial dentures: If several teeth are missing (even in different areas) in a jaw, a partial denture may be the right solution.
  • Full dentures: For a toothless jaw or when very few teeth remain, we will advise you on a full denture.
